BEVAN’S FUTURE LEADERS.
A space for young people across Warren-Blackwood to learn, lead and get involved in shaping communities.
You are part of the next generation of thinkers, doers, and decision-makers. Your curiosity, questions, and ideas matter.
MORE ABOUT MY ROLE.
What Does a State MP Do?
Represents your region (like Warren–Blackwood) in the WA Parliament.
Brings up local issues in Parliament (like hospitals, schools, roads).
Works with local councils and community groups to improve services.
Attends events and visits schools to hear what matters to people.
Votes on new laws and changes that affect the whole state.
What Is the State Parliament?
WA Parliament has two houses: the Legislative Assembly (lower house) and the Legislative Council (upper house).
Bevan is a Member of the Legislative Assembly.
The Parliament makes laws, debates important issues, and checks how the government is doing its job.
GET INVOLVED.
You don’t need to wait until you’re a grumpy old person to have your say. Get involved now.
Join a youth group.
Volunteer.
Take part in school leadership.
Write to your MP (yep, that’s me).
Every time you show up, ask a question, or try something new — you’re learning how to make a difference.
You’re building confidence, connection, and real skills that matter.
Young people bring fresh ideas and energy to our communities. We need more of that.
So speak up. Step in.
Find a cause, lend a hand, and have a go.
You don’t need to be older to be a leader — you can start right now.
