Surf Life Saving

Surf Life Saving WA's Youth Pathways program offers young members aged 13–17 opportunities to develop skills, gain experience, and contribute to their communities through various roles within surf life saving.

Whether you're interested in becoming a lifesaver, coach, official, or trainer, the program provides structured pathways to help you grow and achieve your goals. Participants can:

  • Earn certifications like the Surf Rescue Certificate or Bronze Medallion.

  • Take on leadership roles such as Youth Age Manager or Youth Coach.

  • Participate in the Youth Leaders Program (YLP), progressing through Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels by recording experiences and service.

  • Engage in surf sports, enhancing fitness and lifesaving abilities.

These pathways not only build practical skills but also foster confidence, leadership, and a sense of community involvement.
